• Despite a small run-in with our saintly neighbors and local law enforcement, this TND provided Cyborganics a chance to do some carbo loading of their own in honor of Owen Thomas's participation in the California AIDS ride.

5/30/96 Bag Lunch TND

• Kat Kovacs, serving as this week's TND mommy, handed out bag lunches to all the little TNDers. I traded my handi-snack and a box of raisins for a ding-dong! Nyah nyah, that other kid was a sucker!

5/16/96 Beer is Food!?

• We had a lot of beer. However, we wimped out and ate some real food with it.

• It was Ladies' Night at Cyborganic. TNDers came all styled up, and we had our best pick-up lines ready to mack them with. Aw yeah. Bagus Haig, our guest chef, made a beautiful quiche, because you know real men don't eat them.

• Ryan and Morgan brought frankfurters, rice and toast for Rocky Horror TND. Todd Kerpelman came dressed as Meatloaf. Rocky Mullin did an amazing job as our DJ. Be sure to check out his playlist.

• Red and Green Brownies, Blue Wine? Elizabeth Crane cooked up some amazing green eggs and ham for this small but brightly colored and many striped TND.

4/04/96 A Cyborganic Seder

• Axil Comras organized this nice, cozy, gender neutral seder. Thirty-five of us crammed into the living room to celebrate our freedom and Caleb's amazing matzah ball soup.

3/28/96 A Vegan dinner (with cheeseburgers)

• Ari Saloman brought his old receipt from a restaurant he visited once and used the recipe written on it to prepare a very tasty dinner. We celebrated a birthday, Sarah Kid Wonder spun great tunes, and we had a great time.

3/21/96 A Hungarian Feast!

• Andrej Diamanstein whipped up this huge feast for a hungry group of TNDers this week. Stefan Lisowski, this week's DJ, entertained us with a killer playlist. Also on hand to document our experience were some French newspeople with big video equipment.

• In which TND mixes it up with a wee bit o' the Irish.

3/7/96 Goth is Dead

• A celebration of the pain and angst that is life. Bela Lugosi's Dead. TND was black, like my pain.

2/29/96 Jump back, it's Leap Year!

• In celebration of the day that happens only once every four years, TND goes back in time. What were you doing? Here's what we were doing. DJ Sri Deevee hit us with his 20th Century music retrospective.

2/22/96 Dîner du jeudi gras?

• It's Mardi Gras! Bagus Haig whipped up a killer chili as the TND crowd celebrated Fat Thursday at Cyborganic. Masks, beads (how do you get those anyway?), capes, and a bit of cross-dressing made for a great beginning to Lent.

2/15/96 Serf's Up!

• In much the same manner as the Internet and our freedom of speech, TND steps back into the Dark Ages with a celebration of defiance against the overlords oppressing the downtrodden masses. Dan and Zoe cooked up a storm of stew and chicken drumsticks. Groove to the Jamie Lawrence playlist.

2/8/96 Always and Forever

• Cyborganic High School proudly presents Prom Night 1996! Wherein we crown a King and Queen and are documented by 24 Hours in Cyberspace. Check out the DJ Danfuzz playlist.

2/1/96 Talk wit' yiz hands!

• Gaudy clothing, big hair, white ties and lots of good Italian food must mean that we are in South Philly. And really, what more could you ask for? Elizabeth E. Crane acted as head chef and introduced the crowd to Molinari's of North Beach. mmm...

1/25/96 We Are Sex

• To warm our hearts in the middle of winter TND played host to an Erotic/Exotic evening of libidinous foods and costumes. Wanda Webb, acting as Guest Chef, brought the oysters. The attendees did the rest. Grok the DJ Hardon/Kharigaraa playlist - now updated!

1/18/96 An Gorta Mor

• In rememberance of the Great Potato Famine of 1845-46 there were potatoes galore this week at TND! Mister 3D and Rebecca Eisenberg filled in as Guest Correspondents with these reports from the front lines of the potato wars.

1/11/96 Justin's Digital Stew.

• As Justin Hall entered the wonderful world of The Stew (burning only one) by introducing five or six veggie stews from around the world, the TND crowd swelled to 99!

1/4/96 Hot food, cold weather

• Good hot chili courtesy of Holly Krueter warmed the hearts and hands of TND this week. There was plenty of corn bread to go around as well. Interesting stories about Christmas vacation could be heard in every corner of every room. A few birthdays this week as well!

12/21/95 Idaho loves us!

• Cheez is back in the kitchen! And he brought potatoes. Lots of them. Thirty pounds of them. And he used them all. Shredded. Lots of work. But well worth it. Potato pancakes galore. And the getups some folk came in were well worth the price of admission. Oh, and also the institution of two new volunteer roles: Guest DJ and Guest Swabmaster. All in all a wonderful evening.

12/14/95 Come as your mother

• This week Merin McDonell brought us back in time to those days when our mothers (and some fathers no doubt) did the cooking for us. Food was not the only reminiscence of our mothers. Some arrived dressed the part as well! Ben Wing, serving as Guest Correspondent this week, raises our awareness in the process about Internet politics.

12/07/95 Tora! Tora! Tora!

• In celebration of the anniversary of Pearl Harbor, TND got bombed! Everyone contributed food and drink. Clothing right out of "From Here to Eternity." And to top it off, it was Jonathan's and Mis Fran's birthday party.

11/30/95 Winter's coming

• Oliver, Stephanie, Amber, and Stuart, our new neighbors down the street put us in the proper frame of mind for winter with lasagne and garlic bread and lots of red wine. Mark Gavini wandered about taking pictures and recording his impressions.

11/16/95 Pajama Party Breakfast

• MsWiggles (Ellen Steuer) and her cohorts, the Lotus Eaters, served up a purple breakfast including french toast, eggs, Froot Loops, Cocoa Krispies, Capn Crunch, hash browns, and other selections characteristic of Ellen's lotus pantry. TND regular Kat Kovacs acted as Guest Correspondent. And Ian McFarland sent another Dispatch.

11/09/95 NO-JUNK night

• a NO-JUNK night brought to TND by the lovely and multi-talented, Elise Fried! Really good food from Elise and a few of her friends.

11/02/95 Organic's not Square!

• The folks at Organic decided that triangular food is the only way to go. Everything we ate had but three corners.

10/26/95 Tailgate Party with Fritzie the Elf

• Dr.Steven Bahcall, Ian McFarland, and the gang down at Neo Communication regaled the crowds with sub-continental delights.

10/12/95 Jenny Cool's Birthday!

• Jonathan & Marjorie whipped up some Burritto Deluxe.

  Psst! Others (namely Jenny Cool, aka the TND faerie, and Ovid) celebrated their nativity. The salsas ranged from "mild" to "do not eat" and Marjorie and Jonathan's chunky margueritas took the cake. Of which there were three. Read the TND Dispatch pages from Ian McFarland.
