Trash Blanc Explosion
The scene, a quiet house on Ramona Avenue. Here, as on countless previous evenings, a congregration, concatenation, a veritable conflagration of the best and brightest in the emerging hip-hype counterculture, the wankerati of a new generation, is not taking place.
Instead we find a group of unselfconcious affectionadoes of the obscure. This is not the new hip-ocracy of a Wired, not a group in search of a trend, but nonetheless at the center of a storm that stands to transform the way in which the world works.
But let's talk about dinner.
Much threatened, the white trash dinner finally occurred. Not content with our offers of Potato Buds à la alkalai, Allison Yates regaled us with her (hopefully unique) macaroni and cheese with veggie wieners. Remarkable thing, the wieners tasted every bit as unnatural as real meat-food wieners.
Others contributed wide-ranging feast of preservatives, heavily seasoned with fats, sugars, and nature-identic essences. Word of the good eating even sufficed to attract a staff photographer from Rolling Stone Magazine.
